Thought of the Day

"I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires." - Susan B Anthony

It still amazes me that anyone thinks this is still acceptable, let alone funny.

I think this says more about the school district than the dumb ass that did this.

MACON, Ga. -- A high school teacher who wore blackface at a student-faculty basketball game has resigned, saying "it was poor judgment and will never happen again."
Greg Dougherty said the school had offered to renew his contract for the fall, but he turned it down. The deal would have seen him suspended without pay and barred from school property and events for the rest of the current academic year.
Photographs from the Central High School game on March 25 show Dougherty wearing an exaggerated, Afro-style wig with brownish makeup covering his face and arms. A student also is pictured wearing brown makeup on his face and arms.

I can't think of a more appropriate honor

Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld are now species of slime-mold beetles.

Call 1-800-ASK-GARY

A six-year-old child was hit by a car this morning and is now clinging to life in a local hospital. He is not expected to live through the night. What's a parent to do? Well of course you retain an attorney and give interviews to all of the local TV stations before the five 0'clock news begins.

My husband's "Ethics" professor did not get their tests graded because his wife and kid were in a car accident. Noone required hospitalization. What's the first thing an "ethical" person does? He misses class to meet with a personal injury attorney before the week is out, of course.
